Steamboat Springs is nestled in northern Colorado. Unlike many ski resorts in the region, Steamboat Springs is not directly accessible from an interstate highway. Instead, travel is on state roads which do not have the same level of snow and ice management, so it may take longer for those roads to be clear. For the unfamiliar tourist, it is advised to leave the driving to a professional.
When you do make it, you're greeted by beautiful aspens and lush evergreen trees, almost like you're inside of a snow globe. This winter wonderland is known for it's "champagne powder" which makes for some of the best powder conditions in North America. Steamboat Springs has a lot more to offer than just skiing. The area is known for it's impeccable restaurants and shops and has something for everyone.
